Pastor Ope & Janet Awolesi

P.Ope and Janet have been married 14 years and have a lovely son.

P.Ope received a word to plant a church and 3 years later, this word became a reality. He has experience in counselling and mentoring from his years as youth church leader. He is passionate about the development of people, both spiritually and personally.

Pastor Janet is committed to seeing women realise their full potential and she is a great advocator of training and development most especially in the work place. She is unflinching in her strive for and maintenance of the vision for GLC.

In addition to our senior leadership team, we have several ministers within the church. They are all very approachable and easy to talk to.

We have a two-fold commitment to our members. GLC Foundation helps you discover Jesus Christ and express your love for Him in your own way. Our ministries focus on helping you connect, grow, serve and ultimately go on to impact the world for Christ.

What We Believe

Statement of Beliefs
  1. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word and reveals the will of God. It is the source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, the bible is infallible and unchangeable!
  2. We believe in the one true God, the creator of all things who lives eternally in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless and exemplary life; was crucified and died for the sins of mankind, paying the price of sin and defeating evil so that we can be reconciled with God. He was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. He then ascended into Heaven and is forever seated at the right hand of God the Father.
  4. We believe that through grace and faith in Jesus Christ, all who repent of their sins, believe in Him and submit to him are saved and born again by the Holy Spirit.
  5. God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live holy, fruitful and power-filled lives. To fulfil this purpose, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a step of obedience based on God’s commands and a public declaration of our new life in Christ. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the gift of speaking in unknown tongues.
  6. We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ. He will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and that He is the power that enables us daily. Through Him we have the power to change the World.

Prayers

Without prayer we are powerless, so we do everything with prayer as our foundation. 

Praise

We praise God as a reminder of His greatness, power and presence in our lives. Remember God inhabits the atmosphere of praise!
